Because of a crisis in her marriage, Gail decides to go to Montana with her son Roarke. In order to celebrate Roarke’s tenth birthday Gail takes up again her lifetime passion for rafting. Together with her son and her husband Tom, who has joined them at the last minute, Gail and her family start a pleasant and at the same time exciting journey in the Canyon rapids. The family meets two men, Wade and Terry. They appear peaceful people but they are in fact two dangerous fugitives on the run. What should have been a happy family reunion transforms itself into a nightmare.
